Oh, I have so much to write and catch you all up on..

..but there is no time today.

We moved all of our big furniture into the new place and are now beginning to slowly move over the rest. It has been a very busy day. Especially for Brandon who had to be at a work meeting at 7 this morning.

I worked for a couple of hours today so I was able to take a break from it.

Moving. Yuck.

Anyway, happy Good Friday! I figured I'd share some funny pictures/videos to get the weekend rolling.

Birthday Recap, Saddest B-Day Story Ever & Giveaway Winner

Yesterday was a pretty good day.

I'll let my pictures do the talking..

Slept in, caught up on some reading and enjoyed a cup of joe out of my new adorable cup.

My bestie and I talked on the phone for 2 1/2 hours--we never get to do that!

My husband surprised me with this beautiful bracelet!

And now for the saddest birthday story ever told.. we went to the humane society to find a cat and found this sweet and beautiful girl. She's 8-years-old and her owners both recently passed away; she needs a new home. We filled out the paperwork and later found out our landlord would prefer we didn't get it (he told us we couldn't get a dog but didn't mention a cat). Yes, I teared up a little bit.. I'm a huge sap when it comes to animals so I pray that a nice family adopts her.

Since I'm 23 going on 70, we went out to dinner at 4pm--it was delicious! I had the homemade chicken and noodles and Brandon had chicken fried chicken. Yum!!

My husband surprised me with this true and delicious cake.

And yes folks, that is an ice cream cake..

Overall, it seems like 23 is going to be a pretty good year.. it'll be a cat-less year, but I'll live. I guess.

Easter Dessert Ideas

I know that my sickness has been on all of your minds this weekend, so I wanted to start out this post by saying that no, I'm not better. My head cold has moved to my chest--I have no voice, can't sleep and can't stop coughing. Hmph.

I took a day off from work today (which I hate doing) so I'm hoping to get some rest so I can work tomorrow.. plus, tomorrow is my birthday (!) so I need to be better! Ugh!

Anyway, my brain is still mushy from being on so much cold medicine/Benadryl/Mucinex so I decided to share some Easter dessert ideas with you.

I'm Sick.. Let's Talk About My Eyebrows.

You guys, I'm sick.

Yes, again. I'm super congested, have an irritated throat and am running a fever. Blah.

I keep sitting here trying to write up a Friday post but my brain is too mushy to think.

Sooooo....

Here is a guest post I wrote for my friend Stephanie's adorable blog, Never the Same Spice Twice (go over to her blog sometime--she has some GREAT recipes!!). I'm basically just rambling on about my eyebrows so I hope you enjoy it!

I have been told that I am blessed to have such full and dark eyebrows (I have never looked at it this way--if I don't tweeze my unibrow everyday, I'm mistaken for Anthony Davis--sooo blessed!)--my brother has the same dark/bushy eyebrows that I do so I guess it's just one of those fun, genetic things we were so lucky to inherit (thanks, dad..). Anyway, I have never really known how to groom my brows. I had bangs once (for 21 years) so I didn't have to worry about grooming them quite as often.

And then my boyfriend (now husband) came back from Afghanistan and I decided to lose the bangs.. and the brows..

They don't look too bad here, but standby for the next pic.

I have a heart shaped face with varying features (wide nose, oval eyes, wide smile/full lips) and I quickly learned that thin eyebrows DO NOT mesh with my face; I needed to let those bad boys grow. I did some research to determine what my 'perfect' shape is and I'd like to share those resources with you!

The Sand People are Moving!

Guess what?

We got the duplex!!

Our lives aren't going to be an episode of 'Hoarders' anymore (okay, we don't hoard.. but we have zero storage space and no room after acquiring a house full of beautiful wedding gifts)! Our new landlord is awesome and is repainting some of the walls, putting in new carpet, replacing linoleum, etc., so we won't be able to move in for another week.. but we are able to paint the master and guest rooms in the meantime!

Here are the stats:

• 2 Bathrooms
• 1 Formal Living Room
• 1 Dining Room (which I am thrilled about)
• 1 Adorable, Blue Kitchen
