If you follow me on
Twitter and/or
Instagram, you probably saw that we just returned from a Labor Day vacation in beautiful Tennessee. We stayed with my in-laws, who live just outside of Knoxville, and ate lots of yummy food, played a bunch of cards, visited new places, and just had an overall fun and relaxing time--Brandon's grandpa even flew down from North Dakota to see everyone and to meet Jackson for the first time!
Here are a few of the scenes from the south:
Baby's first flight! He did great on the way to Tennessee and nursed well, slept, and was overall happy and content. The trip home was another story.. |
Our first southern meal (courtesy of my father-in-law)--soooo yummy! |
YOU GUYS! Bargain Hunt is the jam--if you've ever been, you know what I'm talking about! I scored an adorable black and white chevron blouse for only $2.50 (see next picture)! |
Second haircut! |
1st Pumpkin Spice Latte of the season! |
Reaching out to grab the fish (he was fascinated by Ripley's Aquarium!) |
Atop the Sunsphere in Knoxville. |
4 generations of good men! |
On the plane ride home, Jackson fought and fought sleep but finally gave in.. he slept a whole 20 minutes before the stewardess came over the loud speaker to try to sell their Frontier credit card (which I'm pretty sure NOBODY applied for)--that woke Jax up and he was awake, fussy, and squirmy the rest of the trip :/ |
As always, the time went by way too quickly but I'm so glad we were able to go and feel blessed to have married into such a wonderful family.
Take it easy, Tennessee!!
