I Was on TV with Ryan Gosling (and What I Wore Wednesday)

Brandon and I spent the last week in sunny (and apparently freezing at 60 degrees..) California for our honeymoon.

We had so much fun and were able to do quite a bit--which I will post more about later--but one of the main highlights was Brandon's and my national television debut!

Ryan Gosling (or as I like to call him, The Gos) and Me--we're pretty tight. He's such a camera hog, though!
One of our favorite shows is 'Conan'--so we HAD to go see a taping while we were in LA. It was a blast! I highly recommend going to see a taping of your favorite show is you're ever in LA, New York, Chicago or wherever! It's so much fun AND it's free! Boom and boom.

Anyway, we knew who was going to be on the show a week ahead of time (The Gos, Kevin Hart and ZZ Ward) so I planned my outfit out while I was packing. And it was sooooo cute!

So bright--but you get the idea. We had about 3 hours between registering for Conan and the actual show so we cruised around Burbank and found the BEST gelato/coffee place and cute little boutique to kill the time (which of course my husband LOVED--I'll post more about those later..). This picture was taken in front of those shops!
I actually won the dress from a giveaway by Happy-Go-Lucky. The dress itself is from Jourdan's Jewels, which is an online boutique that has the cutest dresses, shoes, accessories, etc. at affordable prices!

Seriously, how cute is this dress?? I paired it with my encircled bird earrings from Simply Sweet Creations and some black ballerina flats.

Totes adorbs!

P.S. If you haven't noticed, I chopped my hair off and LOVE it.

The 'Bridesmaids' Picture

I'm finally back!!

Brandon and I returned to Colorado yesterday after our wonderful honeymoon to California! We had such a fun time and I can't wait to share our pictures and stories (coming soon--this whole wedding/honeymoon thing has been great because now I have SO much to write about! I need to do it more often.. ha, kidding, kidding). I have such a wonderful and fun husband and am so glad to have somebody to share life's adventures with.

So for my first post back, I'm going to share with you the coolest wedding picture of ALL time.

Have you seen the movie 'Bridesmaids'? If you have, you know it's the most hilarious movie you've ever seen. If you haven't, you've been living a sheltered, humorless life and that needs to change immediately.

Anyway, my friends and I found a brick wall and decided we needed to reenact the infamous picture. We studied and studied the poses and faces and nailed it on the first try:

Which is from the movie and which is us? You tell me!

Have a fabulous week, everyone!

My wedding day was everything I've ever dreamed of and more--it was truly perfect.

Hubby and I are getting ready to board the plane for our honeymoon as I type this, but I thought I'd share a few pictures.

I'm Getting Married Tomorrow!!

Well friends, I am pleased to announce that my wedding day is almost here. We will get to see so many of our friends and family members today and tomorrow--the last year of planning is all coming together--it seems so unreal!

The night Brandon and I met, I made a comment to him about how I didn't want to get married until I was at least thirty (we'd literally just met and were talking about everything under the sun when I randomly brought it up). He asked me why and I replied about how I wanted to see the world, enjoy my career and have my own adventures before settling down.

Brandon and I the night we met--you can probably guess from the picture that we met at a college party.
Once Brandon and I started dating, I started to second guess my plans. I found somebody who I wanted to travel the world with. I found somebody who I wanted to share career excitement/triumphs with. Going on my own adventures just didn't sound satisfying anymore. I wanted to share my life with the man I loved.

(I have actually traveled more in the last two years of dating Brandon than I have in my entire life--here are a few of our adventures so far..)
Brandon surprised me with a weekend away to the big city for my 21st birthday (shortly after he'd returned from Afghanistan). March, 2011.
Coming back from visiting Brandon's family in North Dakota--The Mitchell Corn Palace, Mitchell, South Dakota (B with his adorable nephew, Benjamin). This was actually the farthest north I've ever gone--who would have guessed that there is a place where the sun doesn't go down until after 11pm during the summer (besides Alaska.. and basically any place up north.. get with the effin' program, Annie)?! July, 2011.
I took Brandon to my home state of Colorado for his 25th birthday. We visited Red Rocks, toured Denver, strolled around the Botanic Gardens and, of course, had dinner at Casa Bonita. September, 2011.
Disney World--where we got engaged! December, 2011.
Visiting Brandon's folks in Tennessee--we hiked around Smoky Mountain. December, 2011.
Las Vegas! March, 2012.
Brandon's cousins beautiful wedding in Pierre, South Dakota (with Brandon's mom, sister, nephew and niece). June, 2012.

I didn't plan on finding that someone in my early twenties, but I thank God every minute of every day that I did.

Here's to the start of the rest of our lives, Brandon. It's going to be a good life. I can feel it.

I'm Getting Married in a Week!

The title about sums this post up! In one week, I'll be..

Marrying this man
At this church
with these amazing women by my side..
With that being said, I'll be MIA for the next couple of weeks.. I've been running around like a chicken with its head cut off the last week trying to get last minute things together and it has left me very little time to sit down, write and keep up with my blogging buddies.

I'll be back after the honeymoon with lots of new posts about the wedding and our trip to California (a HUGE thank you to my friend Maegan over at SAHMaegan for all of her help planning our trip!).

Christmas 2012 Recap

Merry Day After Christmas! I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and that you're slowly coming out of your delicious/high calorie Christmas food and drink coma--I'm still working on it..

The Christmas fun continues today for my family--we'll be visiting my Grandpa for more fun, food and laughter (it seems like anytime any of the same gets together, it involves gut wrenching laughter--love it!). Since we'll be on the road early, my post today will be a look back on my Christmas 2012! It was a wonderful day and I hope your Christmases were just as memorable and blessed.

Christmas Eve: My Favorite Day of the Year

Merry Christmas Eve, friends!

Today is my favorite day of the entire year so I'm looking forward to getting the day started!

For as long as I can remember, we have spent Christmas Eve and Day with my Uncle Rolf and Aunt Nancy. Through the years, we've kept the same traditions that I always look forward to. Here are a few of those traditions that I am looking forward to today.

Christmas church service
Dinner at whatever restaurant is still open
Driving around, looking at Christmas lights
Giant party poppers from Costco w/crowns
Opening stockings while eating something sweet and delicious
Staying up late chatting

Perfect day in my opinion!

Here are a few of my favorite memories from Christmas Eves past..

Christmas Lights in Downtown Denver

The Famous Costco Party Popper Crowns

Opening Stockings

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas!! Enjoy your family, enjoy the fellowship, and never forget the true meaning of the day.
